Noon lectures each day will focus on Okinawa, the Philippine Sea, and the Museum’s Artillery Collection. &lt;a href="http://www.nationalww2museum.org/wargameconvention/heat_descriptions.doc"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Our Board and Miniature Game include Land, Sea and Air offerings and are much stronger than last year&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;/a&gt;– and include two Flames of War Tournaments.On Friday, Cox Communications will be filming the event, increasing the exposure of our hobby and encouraging interest in World War II – the War that Changed the World!We have to thank our major sponsors Wizards of the Coast, Matrix Games, Inc; The Wargamer.com; and H.M.G.S. – The Historical Miniatures Gaming Society. In a wargame, players reenact historical situations, but are allowed to make decisions that can drive the battle or campaign in a different direction – producing new outcomes!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;At Heat I, players reimagined both Omaha and Sword Beaches, a B-17 bombing raid into Germany, the great Eastern Front armor battle of Kursk and much, much more.Competitive tournaments included “Making History – the Calm and the Storm” and Flames of War. More are planned for Heat II, along with new product roll-outs.
