Heat of Battle II Approaching Rapidly!

August 22-24, 2008

Our 3 guest speakers are confirmed. Noon lectures each day will focus on Okinawa, the Philippine Sea, and the Museum’s Artillery Collection. Our Board and Miniature Game include Land, Sea and Air offerings and are much stronger than last year – and include two Flames of War Tournaments. On Friday, Cox Communications will be filming the event, increasing the exposure of our hobby and encouraging interest in World War II – the War that Changed the World! We have to thank our major sponsors Wizards of the Coast, Matrix Games, Inc; The Wargamer.com; and H.M.G.S. – The Historical Miniatures Gaming Society. Many other game companies have donated door prizes to help rebuild post-Katrina wargaming.

Encourage all prospective Attendees to register as soon as possible! Our Reservation process is slightly more complicated than last year. Our Registration Page has information on our partner Hotel and nearby restaurants.
We are all very excited! Don’t forget if you have questions or comments, please contact walt.burgoyne@nationalww2museum.org or call me at 504-527-6012 x 333.
